Mountain Bike Instruction - Suitable for Children over 8 years old and family riders
09:00 to 12:00. £12 includes drinks and a snack.
Cross Country mountain bike instruction for beginner and intermediate riders. Ride the trails, improve your technique, build small jumps, practice on the pump track. In conjunction with GoingAWOL.

Wacky Woods Toddler and Pre-School Group with Parental / Carer / Childminder participation
10:00 to 12:00. £5 per child.
Come and have fun in the woods with your pre-schooler. Even young babies can appreciate the joys of nature. Lots of sensory play activities to enjoy with your children, with guided sessions. Indoor area available for use in inclement weather. Engage your children with nature early and let them enjoy the freedom to run in the sun, play in the mud and explore the wonderful great outdoors.

Wacky Woods After School Club - for Children of Primary School Age
16:00 to 18:00. £8 per child.
Come and let off steam after school. Games, play, creativity in the woods...and some Mission Explore quests! We love Mission Explore!.

Wacky Woods for youth groups eg scouting, guiding, church youth groups of any age.
From 6.00pm onwards. Cost dependent upon group size and activities.
Are you supporting badge work, wanting to practise hard skills, want to learn something new outdoors, or just want a jolly good fun meeting outside. Give us a call or email us. We like youth groups... We do a lot of youth work ourselves in our spare time!

Wacky Woods
Monday 13th February to Friday 17th February
09:30 to 12:30 and 14:00 to 17:00. £12 per session or £30 for the whole day including campfire lunch.
Fun Fresh Air and Laughter...and a bit of risky play. Nature trails, wide games, den building, cooking on fires, pond dipping, tree climbing and lots of outdoor fun stuff during half term.
Campfire Pancakes!
Shrove Tuesday - 21st February
16:00 to 18:00. £5 per child accompanied by an adult.
Scotch pancakes, French crepes: whatever takes your fancy. Come and enjoy Shrove Tuesday in the woods making pancakes on the fire.. Sweet ones, savoury ones: Eat as many as you can cook!
Wacky Woods Family Day
Sunday 26th February
10:00 to 16:00. £15 per person including campfire lunch and refreshments.
One of our favourite activities at the Woods. A great opportunity to come and share what your children do at Wacky Woods.. They will be in charge; they know the ropes, leaving you to simply enjoy the fun of playing outdoors with them. Den building, nature trails, land art, pond dipping, and campfire cooking. What better way to share an early spring Sunday?
Mothers Day Treat
Sunday 18th March
14:00 to 16:00. £6 per child. Mums, carers and Grans go free - it's your day!
Come and enjoy a Mothering Sunday treat in the woods with your children. Campfire cake, hot chocolate and marshmallows. Jewellery making and games, along with shared memories to pass on. All stories to begin with “Once upon a time, when your mum was a little girl.....”
Wacky Woods at Treacle Market
Sunday 25th March
10:00 to 16:00. FREE- just come and say hello and play!
We are in St Michaels Church yard, generally toasting marshmallows, whittling and making stuff... and chatting..We do a lot of chatting at Treacle! Lots of friends descend on Macclesfield the last Sunday of the month!

Easter Egg Hunt
Saturday 7th April
14:00 to 16:30. £5 per person including campfire refreshments.
Follow the clues around the wood to collect your eggs and other Easter surprises – but first you have to make a nest to put them all in! A lovely afternoon for children of all ages, parents and grandparents to enjoy, especially if you like a bit of Easter Egg rolling!
The Easter Bunny may be out to play in the woods, along with one or two Easter chicks....and a play on the Wacky Woods Woodland Workout course should burn off any excess chocolate!

Yep...it’s that quality time again! The time where dads come to the woods with their children to share a great experience of constructing a shelter and cooking lunch together on the campfire.....and a bit of healthy competition with other dads....
